Blog or weblog is simply a website with frequent updates on a particular subject or topic. You can write a comment, review, suggestion or tip on a subject on your blog.

Indexing:
Indexing refers to the search engines.the mostly used search engines are Google,yahoo and Msn.First type your URL in the search engines and know that you are indexed to it.Just query the search engine ie moneyshowers.blogspot.com and if you find your site in the search website then you are indexed.It takes some times for your blog to be indexed.
The Brains of Google has gone up with a algorithms that determine the relevancy of certain factors some we know and don't.the factors are page content,keywords,age of site or blog and finally your blog must contain unique content.
Now Let's look at this more closely.
Page Content:
The major search engines such as google and Yahoo likes unique content.you would be indexed very soon if you use original content than copying from a website and using in your blog/website.if you fail to use unique content you would not be indexed at all.You can also get copyrights problem doing this.
Age Of Site/Blog:
You would have heard about a proverb "OLD IS GOLD".The same is used in the case of search engines that Google prefers old site.This is used to eliminate all spam blogs that are created daily and indexed.
Key Words:
The keyword refers to the what your topic is? These keywords play a very role while indexing.the search engine uses this keywords to search your blog/site. You must be beware of using this keywords and if you use it many times in your article then Google will mark your site/blog as a spam and delete it from indexing.The rule of using keyword is that you can use it 6 to 7 times every one hundred words.
Content Volume:
The more pages you produce the better the search engines will crawl your site/blog for the keywords that are searched.The Article you produce must contain 300 to 400 words.The more you get listed the greater the traffic you get
Every site is ranked between 0 and 10. The higher the number the more important your site is. If your site is a 10 then I guarantee your site will be listed on the first page and no doubt in the top position. Currently the new blog you set up has a ranking of 0 (zero). Content and the age of your site will gain you some ranking over time. If you do nothing else but post unique content then you might get a ranking of 2 in a year from now, possibly sooner. A ranking of 2 will not get you much traffic. How can you speed up your ranking? Simple... get back links and get lots of them.
One Last Thing:
You will gain more from one way links. Lots of sites that are relevant to your site will trade links with you. They link to you and you link to them. This is called a two way link. Don't bother as this won't help you much. The exception would be if the other site has a high page rank. In this case go ahead but in reality high page rank sites only want links from other high ranking sites. They will not link to you unless there is an advantage for them. One way links are the best because Google sees them as a confirmation of your importance, ie. other sites think you important enough to give you a link without getting one in return.
